More Camp Photos

Kaleb on the obstacle course.
It looks like Kayla is in a much more cooperative mood this day.

This is not a play camp, it's a missions training camp. I love it because it's so structured. Parents with "normal" kids wondered why it's so strict. The rest of us love it because our kids have to follow all the rules, no exceptions. They have to work as a team. If they don't do these things, they will lose swimming which is the only thing that is just for fun. There are other things that are fun, but they also serve a purpose.

Smiley Face team picture. The group will be planting flowers around the large concrete smiley face that welcomes people to camp.

Obstacle course. Each tire has one of the ten plagues written on it.

Nehemiah Trusses team. Kaleb is in the front in the green shirt.

Kaleb's team will be building these. That's what Kayla did last year.
I've set this to post while Jasmine and I drive to St. Louis.

Love it. Some of the kids there love it and return year after year. Others can't deal with the rules, heat and obstacle course.

I was wondering if the kids love it? or hate it! :) I think the hardest part would be the heat/no AC...especially in FL!

Spoiled kids generally hate it. No one really likes the heat and mosquitoes but the ones who get caught up in the projects, friendships and rallies do great. The older kids are only there ten days to train and then fly out to locations all over the world.
