As you can see from my countdown, I'm just a couple of days from leaving for ICRS. That's International Christian Retail Show. It used to be the Christian Book Association trade show but there's so many places with Christian shirts, gifts etc that it's far from just books.
Any, hundreds of Christian publishers/companies come and set up a display with their new books and merchandise. Book store owners come from around the world to see what's new and place orders.

A lot of authors are there and sign books which are given away free to the bookstore owners and sometimes us lowly authors can sneak in line and get a free book too unless it's like Chuck Norris signing and then they limit it to bookstore owners only.
So, it's my chance for my kids to see the other side of what I do. Otherwise they'd probably just think I sit on my rear and play on my computer all day. Well, there are days like that. But some days I actually write and it becomes a book. And it's a chance to feel important walking among the greats.
Some of you know all this because I've had books signed to your kids and have sent them to you. Well, I have just a few books from last year that never found a home in a give away or been sent to someone in particular. (I know some of the bookstore owners sell the autographed books they've gotten free and that's their business but you'll never see any of mine for sale, on e-bay etc.)
So here are the two piles of books I have left.
We'll just call them top book pack and bottom book pack : )
So today is my kitty's birthday. Here is his picture. The two people who come closest to guessing his age will win the books. You must live in the U.S. or have a U.S. mailing address. You cannot be related to my cat.
Leave your guess in the comment section.
