Mission Trip

You got it. They are going on a mission trip to a reservation in Arizona next summer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is major for Jasmine. They are going with Teen Missions International and there is one rule that is going to be really hard for her. You have to eat what they serve you. No exceptions. And she is really the world's pickiest eater. If it's not noodles, forget it. Well, maybe pizza too.

But she will adjust and Jessica is one of the group leaders for that trip so that should help. The trip starts with training at Merritt Island which includes construction, a challenging obstacle course and Bible and puppet classes. Long pants and boots have to be worn at all times except for a short swim time each day. Then water shoes are required. Laundry and showering is done with a bucket. They sleep in tents. No luxury camp here. It's all about missions.

Doesn't this shirt say it all?

Jasmine is home with a 102 fever today but if she's back to school tomorrow,I'm taking the oldest two to visit a college. We'll be on the road at 5:30 am!

I think it will be a real time of growth. It is definitely no frills. It's hard work but there are also nightly Bible ralleys but none of the game times or free times of a traditional camp. They are both excited about being on a reservation.
