NYC Day 4

I am way behind on posting about our New York trip. As I write this, we are packing up to leave at 5 a.m. to get Kaleb in Pensacola and then journey another three hours to NOLA just for the weekend.

On Sunday, we went to Trinity Church from the National Treasure movie. Quite different for Jasmine who has never attended anything other than a Southern Baptist church!

Corner of Wall and Broadway, just like in the movie.

Yep, we had our devos in the graveyard. We went out when communion started since we aren't used to communion where you go up and drink from the cup.
We went back inside to take pictures after the service.
I don't think they knew what to think of her! Not used to someone singing at the candles. But that's my Jasmine.

We took the Staten Island Ferry round trip just to sight see.

Then we went to the 9/11 Memorial, found out it cost $24 for the museum so kept walking and walked through Chinatown and Little Italy without stopping anywhere.

We came across a city park where they were playing polo on bicycles!

Then we got to our real destination--Economy Candy Store. So much less expensive than Dylans.

Hopefully I'll get the rest of the NYC photos posted once we are back from NOLA. We have four trips with 2-3 days in between. It's crazy and we may be a stressed out mess by time we're done!

Out of interest, why did you feel you actually had to leave during communion as opposed to just remaining in your seats? This might sound adversarial, but it's not meant to. I was interested to know whether you thought it was something Jasmine shouldn't see (because it was wrong) or what.

She didn't feel comfortable going up for communion with a common cup etc. In our church they pass a tray with little wafer things and little disposable plastic cups of grape juice and everyone partakes in their seat at one time. We went out because it was going to be a long time until communion was over so we decided to go ahead and leave. But then we did our devos in the graveyard and looked at some of the famous graves.
