Rainy Saturday

On Saturday, the weather rotated between overcast, sprinkling and pouring. When we arrived at the soccer field, it was sprinkling. As the game started, it began pouring.
You can see the rain coming down. Kayla is white shirt #13.

They had good spirits despite the rain.

Kayla taking the ball from the other team.

Kayla moving the ball toward the goal. I think she's going to be a good player. This is the first time she's played since spring 2010, and she's catching on quickly. She's not afraid to go after the ball either.
While Kaleb and I were watching Kayla  play soccer, Jasmine was at her school carnival. She was a volunteer. Seventh grade civics students have to have 8 volunteer hours per semester. They don't have to be at the school. You can volunteer at your church or in a community program. Or spread the hours among them.

She loves blue raspberry sno cones so I've had to get used to seeing her lips, teeth and tongue blue.

Trash clean up

So even though the weather was sprinkling and pouring, activities went on as planned. We all just got a lot wetter.

Three cheers for living in Florida where you can get soaked on a rainy October day and not freeze!

Emily--I was glad to be under an umbrella, and even though I was in capris, I had on a light jacket.

Tanya--But I wish she'd choose banana or something not so obvious in pictures :)
