Weekend with Jasmine

Jasmine and I left Friday afternoon for Orlando. We actually only drove to Ocala though. Living in the FL panhandle adds two hours to any trip to anywhere south of us in FL. We have to drive an hour north to get a highway east, to catch I 75 south--and of course an extra hour back down to where the starting point would be if there weren't an ocean in the way.

We stopped at a McDonald's with a play area.

We drove the rest of the way to Orlando and went to Island of Adventure Saturday morning. I hate that there's a $15 parking fee per day!!!!!

Everything was decorated for Christmas but I didn't get any pictures of it all.

We met up with Thing 1 and Thing 2.

We got the meal deal but I don't think it was worth it for us. You'd have to eat three full meals to get your money's worth.

Jasmine with the Hogwart's castle in the back ground.

The wait for the HP ride was almost 2 hours so we just walked through Hogwarts on a quick tour.

Jaws! Jasmine started on the end on this ride, then scrunched up tight next to me, and then literally jumped in my lap near the end. I think there were too many sharks for her.

We planned to go back for half a day Sunday but it was rainy. I didn't want to pay the $15 parking if we were just going to turn around and leave due to weather.

So I told Jasmine we could start home, stop at the Gainesville mall and she could spend the $15 parking fee at Build a bear. She holding a Christmas dress and antlers. There's a lot in the background because this was taken in the food court. Also told her we'd stop in Tallahassee for a movie. That worked.

The only thing we missed we wanted to see was the Grinch show.

(Taken today--old bear, new outfit)

The cheap theater in Tallahassee if $3.50. Ours is 1.50. They had Despicable Me which Jasmine had already seen once and me twice, Alpha and Omega and Guardian neither of which either of us had seen and then some inappropriate movies. Okay moms, which movie did we see??????
