Finals, Homework, Jobs and more Prom

Kiara loves to wrestle with Uncle Adam.

And share kisses with mommy.

Everyone pitched in to clean the house before Adam's date picked him up for prom.

We have never used the fireplace.

A bunch of bananas went bad at the track meet.

So Rick made banana muffins from them. These were really good. They had bananas, grated carrots,  raisins and applesauce.
Tyler got a job picking up trash along the highways. It's not glamorous, but it pays, and that's what he needs right now.

Jessica is done with the year on May 4. She's taking an online final right now.

Jasmine is working on homework and studying for FCAT testing next week.

So I made some brain food : )

We are in the final nine week quarter of the year. Kaleb has his big pirate ship field trip on Friday. (Kayla is not allowed to go due to inappropriate aggression toward other students)  Adam has district track meet on Thursday and senior trip Friday thru Sunday. Next week is FCAT testing for Jasmine. And there's lots of other stuff between now and the end of the year. So stay tuned : )
Right now I have to work on a devo book proposal that is going to committee next month. I'm hoping they go ahead with it. But it will mean a lot of work. I'm also trying to finish up my first novel. I've always been a non fiction writer. I have one children's fiction book manuscript I wrote a few years ago, but it needs a lot of work before it gets submitted. The novel will too, I'm sure.

Hope you are all having a great week!

Oh, I almost forgot to post the prom pictures someone took of Adam and his friends.

I just love a tidy house! And when everyone pitches in, it doesn't take much time at all... the prom pictures turned out really good.

And congrats to Tyler on his job. One summer in between college years, Jeff worked on the road crew for his hometown. They paved and dug ditches and all that fun stuff ;)

I think it is a great start!

I'm trying to catch people as they drop stuff on a table or floor and make them pick it up right away but I don't always catch them.

Ty got to drive some little cart and pick trash up along the highway, staying ahead of the mowers. He was exhausted last night. He's not used to being on the go. He spends a lot of time laying on his bed with his iPad.
