Sunday afternoons

With work and school schedules, music lessons, percussion camp, swim team etc, it's been hard to find time to do things as a family. So we've started making the most of Sunday afternoons after church. Some weeks we simply come home and do something at the house, other times we head to a beach. These pictures are from the same beach, but not the same day.

Grilling kabobs

Ty, Jessica and Adam all work Sundays, but Ty and Jess have it scheduled so they both don't work until 4:00. Adam worked all day, but he started a new job a couple of weeks ago, and I'm not sure what his schedule is now.

Jessica's friend Delisa joins us sometimes.

This week we went later, so the older kids weren't able to join us.

Volleyball has become our new beach activity

Hula hoop has also become a favorite beach activity

Pie filling toasted between bread makes great grilled pies

So share with us, favorite family activity?

Must be nice to have the beach so close. You sure couldn't lose those bright volleyballs!

This beach is about 45 minutes away, but from church it's only about 20 minutes. The one that's closest to us is the jet ski bay, only about 7 minutes, but no sand beach with it. I love our white sand :)
