ewomen

Friday and Saturday Jessica and I attended the Extraordinary Women's Convetion in Pensacola.

First we stopped at University of West Florida for a tour. She has one more year of high school but thinks this might be the college for her. It offers a lot and is smaller and safer than many of the other FL colleges. She should also be able to get more than one scholarship.

At the hotel.

There were several speakers--Julie Clinton, Angela Thomas, Michelle Mckinney Hammond, Stormie O., Karen Kingsbury and Chonda Pierce. Chonda and Michelles were funny and Karen was touching, funny too.

Charles Billingsley, Matthew West and New Song provided music.

With Ann Kingsbury

With Karen.

Getting concessions.

With Karen again.

In Destin on the way home.

Chaos continues

Work continues on the patio. Yep, these are new pictures but he's wearing the same thing as in the last post. It's his favorite outfit.

Work continues on the garden.

Jasmine takes the potting soil to Jessica in the cute little bucket on wheels I got at Walmart.

Jasmine thinks she might want to play softball next year. She was having a little trouble holding the bat. She is missing bones in her fingers on her left hand so her fingers are one or two digits shorter than normal. It only affects gymnastics bars, gripping things like bats, and which instrument she will be able to play. She will not be able to be a sax player like Jessica.

We all got cleaned up for the Explorer's awards ceremony. It was a carry in supper although they called it a banquet. Jessica and Rick are having a fight over the food.

Jasmine didn't want to miss out.

Ty was hungry.

Tyler gets a community service award.

Tyler promotes to Corporal.

So Much Coming Up

We are fixing up things around the house and yard right now. As you can see in the pictures, nothing grows in our yard. We have little grass which makes the yard look nasty.

Tomorrow Tyler has awards night for the local police Explorers group. Friday Jessica and I are visiting UWF and then on to the Extraordinary Woman's Conference in Pensacola Fri evening and all day Saturday. Sunday afternoon we are going to Sound of Music.

Next week Jasmine has field day and field trip--just a walking one to a local park. Jessica has her spring band concert then takes the SAT reasoning test and I think Ty goes to Tallahassee for the ceremony for fallen police officers.

Last year

The following weekend we are picking Jeff up and taking him to Wild Adventures for a late birthday outing.

The next weekend Jasmine has a fishing tournament out on a fishing boat on the ocean. The rest of us will be home cleaning like crazy because family starts coming Monday the 18th. Adam would have had his band concert and field trip but I think most of you know what happened with that. Thankfully it was the administration who banned him not me although I totally agree. That week we also have full dress rehearsals for the dance recital and graduation, have the recital and graduation; them last soccer game, soccer party and Ty's open house on the same day.

Then on Memorial Day those of us who survived it all will be having break downs on a nearby beach!!
The hotel nearby has ice cream, soda etc. in their little store.

Soccer

Jasmine takes the ball.

That's her kick.

Go for it!

Jasmine gets talked to about going after the ball and not waiting for it to come to her. When she played on my U6 team she would go for the ball and not stop until it was in the goal but when she moved to U8 she started backing off. Not sure if it's an age thing or because I'm not coaching her.
