Chili

Our recipe: Dig for forgotten hamburger in freezer (freezer burn acceptable), brown, look for some kind of beans (left overs from the last cook out, kidney etc), add. Look for something tomato based (like the can of paste I opened a couple of days ago to use in a recipe and then discovered it had Italian seasoning added and I couldn't use it, diced tomatoes, anything.) Mix it all together along with a pack of seasoning mix. Let simmer until someone wants to eat. Add fattening toppings.

Last Night's Meltdown

Everyone was in a blah mood last night after the activities so I put music on my computer and everyone danced, played drums etc.

Dad to the rescue with Bubble gum ice cream.

No, we don't usually eat out of the carton but it saved time and dishes : )

Jasmine went to bed after this and the rest of us watched Star Trek Voyager: The Q and the Gray.

Busy Day Follow Up

Jessica tried out for all county and didn't make it. She got nervous and messed up. She's okay about it--or will be. She got home right as I was getting ready to go pick Rick up and went for me so we only talked about 30 seconds.

Tyler went and got measured and turned in his announcement order. It was really a waste because all we did was check that Ty's name was spelled right for his diploma, stand him up against a tape measure hanging on the wall and write it down, hand a guy the form and leave.

Checking the spelling of his name

Measuring.

Jasmine went with us and missed gymnastics so we'll have to make that up. Whew. Done for the day.

Ready for church

Daddy made an egg/ham/hasbrown casserole for breakfast.
Pretty in a red dress handed down from friend Ari from Elkhart.
I am not happy with the results of the surgery. This is what it looks like. The scar along the hair line gets lots of open sores then scabs over. This is the same surgeon who did the beautiful repair of her cleft lip. But he didn't stitch these incisions, just glued them and now they are so noticeable. And some of the webbing is back on her neck. Her next surgery follow up is Dec 23. It's a 5 hour drive. Ugh. We have to get Jeff from Camp T. the same day so at least we can combine trips.
