Weekend Part 2 and Monday Study Time

On the second day, we went to Universal. The kids wanted to go back to Islands of Adventures too but with a seven hour drive home, we couldn't do that.

We didn't have a lot of time in Orlando, but we had a lot of fun.
The twins did great considering they had no idea what to expect. The only problem we had--which was no one's fault--was that Jessica and I often had to pair up with the twins on rides because there are many where children under 48" have to be with an adult. If they were two seater rides, Jessica had to sit with a twin and so did I, so Jasmine ended up riding alone a lot.
I've told Jasmine that she and I will go back in a few weeks and ride all the rides together. Her neck surgery is next month and she won't be able to do much for a while after that. So it'll be one last adventure for us before the surgery.

Between now and finals, Monday night is designated as study for finals night. We set out snacks and anyone who wants to brings their study materials out and works from 7-9. No one has to do it, but if you want the snack, you have to commit to studying the whole time.
There are some flaws to this because we have an antagonizer in the group. I have spent way too much time disciplining these past two times, and that will not happen again. It's not a silent time, but talking has to be very quiet and also relevant. But if someone starts to talk, this person will start reading aloud very loudly. But if the antagonizer wants to talk, that's a different matter. So new boundaries have been set in place for the next few weeks.

Ty gets home late so he eats his supper first. Last night for study time we had cheddar cheese chips, pizza bagels, mozzarella sticks and mini egg rolls.

Kathy, I love the pics with Scooby-doo. I'm glad you had the time to go. I'm only 2 hours from Orlando!
