Senior Stuff

Tonight we went to the high school for Jessica to be measured for her graduation gown.

She had to check the spelling of her name for the diploma.

This is Jessica with a couple of friends from Ignite Club.

Looking over the stuff for sale on the senior table. I ordered and paid for her announcements, name cards and a senior necklace for her. I pay for that plus the senior photos and open house. In addition I give the high school kids $150 for misc school expenses. The rest is on them. You can easily spend $2,000 on yearbook, senior trip (Orlando), ring, shirts, backpacks, class supplies, club dues, club shirts and on and on.

Jessica chose to buy a class shirt. It's kind of cute becasue she's the class of '10.

Not often you get to be a perfect ten.

Veteran's Day

Rick served in the Air Force for twenty years. We didn't want to get out, but at that time they were not re-enlisting for more than that. Shortly after he retired they started sending people back to the middle east and letting people extend longer, but he was already out. I miss the overseas assignments. Jasmine was born about the same time Rick got out so she only knows civilian life.

We went to the parade today. Our local one is small and always quiet. Only one band plays. I guess we should go to the bigger one downtown but we never get around to it. I avoid the Christmas parade because it's VERY long and it's at night. I stay home and tape it.

Since Jessica dropped band and Adam didn't continue, we had no one in the parade today nor will we at Christmas.

They have free hotdogs and soda in the park. They also have a band play but we came home and watched Up and Twelve Dogs of Christmas.

Weekend

Rick had a free five day Disney pass for military and I had a reduced rate companion pass so we went to Orlando for the weekend. It's 6 1/2-7 hours so we had Friday afternoon, all day Saturday and Sunday morning. Still, better than nothing. We have two days left on the passes but probably will not use them.

We went to Epcot Friday afternoon and evening.

We went to Magic Kingdom on Saturday. Without the kids, we were done with all we wanted to do in just a few hours. Space Mountain is closed and being redone and that's my favorite.

Sunday we went to Hollywood Studios (Formerly MGM). This is the waiting line for the Toy Story ride. Love it.

They called us Mike's parents.

I gave Jessica money to get some sort of treat on Sunday evening if everyone cooperated during the weekend. They got Chinese.
