Looking back

at favorite "old" pictures. These are my favorites from 2005 so not all that old. They are from prints scanned in not digital.

This was the last year Jeff was still at home with us. This was Christmas time.

The kids were all still together at the Christian school. It closed this past year. We left the year before that due to financial strain and the lack of any electives for the high school kids.

2005 was Jasmine's first year at mission camp and I went with her this year. I'm not good at camp because I don't always sleep well and hot weather, tents and lots of noise don't do much for my sleep.

Jasmine's dedication. She was four.

One of our first meetings with Karen Kingsbury. It was love at first sight.

Other new friends at the Christian book convention.

Ashley came to visit and was here on Phoenix's first birthday.

My sister and her husband came too. I think it was their last trip down until Ty's graduation last May!!

Coach Mom (me) with the sharks. That's Jasmine out front leading the way.

Jeff

Jessica

All at the beach.

In Colorado. Jeff and Adam were at TMI mission camp.

Loved Colorado Springs.

Ty certified scuba in 2005.

Jessica and I took windsurfing class. Haven't done it since. Don't have the equipment.

It's fun looking back even if it's just a couple of years back. I can't wait until the twins are home and we are looking back at the times when we visited them in Haiti.

Nothing exciting

happened this weekend. It was cloudy and a little rainy on Labor Day, Rick and Tyler were gone and Jessica worked Fri, Sat and Monday.

So we just did regular stuff like went bowling, which we haven't done in quite a while.

And went skating again. Jasmine is doing really well. Just a few weeks ago she could hardly make it around the rink without falling and this time she almost beat a much bigger girl in the races!

We rode horses again : )
Sometime I'd like to ride the real kind but that is a LOT more expensive.

We had a girl's sleep out. You can only get away with drinking out of the two liter if it's the last drink.

On Monday we just hung around the house.

Jessica had to work.

The animals all came out to watch The Wild.

Adam cooked supper-a sort of chicken pizza dish.

Today Jasmine made cookies. She is wearing last year's soccer uniform for her first practice today.

Yum. Pass the cookies!

Weekend

We haven't done much exciting this weekend. Just hanging out.

Jessica took us to Firehouse subs.

New neighbor kids came over to watch the Hannah Montana movie. Adam and James cooked (Burnt up) the jiffy pop.

Jasmine and Adam met their new soccer coaches this week. Jasmine finally has coach Brent. We haven't been able to be on his team in previous seasons due to his practice schedule conflicting with dance/gymnastics classes. We are only doing one dance class this year and are able to move gymnastics.

Both Jasmine's team and Adam's teams are the terminators.

Adam making cupcakes.
Rick and Tyler are in Atlanta four days for Dragon Con.

The strangest thing I have for breakfast

is yellow squash, tomatoes and turkey bacon all fried up together.

More Stuff

Not a lot of excitement this week, just regular stuff.

Griffin turned two this week. Unfortunately we only see him about once every two years.

Breakfast.

Breakfast on the go.

Everyone helps clean up the kitchen in the morning. Jasmine wipes the counter.

Ty packing his lunch.

Thrilled to be up this early for college.

Adam working on learning some notes on guitar.

All of a sudden all the furbies showed up. Haven't seen them in a couple years. Someone must have been cleaning out a closet!!

Having a heart to heart with Cheyenne about going out in the morning. She is older and would prefer just to lay in comfort all day.

Shy checking out the ice pop.

World's laziest cat.

Rick broke his wrist the rest of the way through and had no choice about the cast at this point.
