This and That

There is nothing big coming up this week, just a lot of appointments, meetings and such.

Remember last April we took Scrappy and Caspian to pick another playmate? (Scrappy is 13 and doesn't play anymore)

We picked this 4-6 mo old puppy who "isn't going to get much bigger."

Kiara weighed about 17 pounds at the time so was the perfect size to be a playmate for Caspian.

The "not going to get much bigger" did not prove true though,  and she started growing practically overnight.

Now she's 50 lbs and quite a handful for her mommy. She's a bit rough on Caspian too unfortunately. She's not mean,  she's just a lot bigger. All three dogs get along well though.

The twins have their passports now. We don't actually need them if we're able to cruise to the Bahamas this summer.  For the Bahamas by boat (not true if you fly) you can use a birth certificate and driver's license for adult and birth certificate for children. Not sure if they have to have another ID because we've always used passports. But having a passport for the twins will save all the questions and we won't have to carry the birth certificates, adoption decrees and citizenship papers. 

Okay, not the greatest picture of Jasmine, but this is what her expander looks like. She has all her braces plus the expander, so now the torture begins.

Most of you know we've had trouble getting Tyler any kind of insurance, and he especially needs dental insurance. He has a lot of work that needs done. We were not successful in getting him any, but Rick found out the Florida Baptist Convention sends out a bus made into a dentist office, and they go around the state and do free dental work. Rick just found out about it last week, and this week it was only an hour away. So Tyler went and got two teeth filled today. I wish we'd known about it before because he has a mouthful of cavities that still need filled. But that took care of the teeth that were causing pain.

Jessica is on spring break this week, but the others don't have spring break until the 25th. I hope it's warm enough to go to the beach by then but I'm not getting my hopes up. Today the high was 67F and it's pouring rain.

I just did the final edit on The One Year Book of Bible Trivia for Kids which will be released in July. At least I hope it was the final edit. I have another project they might be interested in but they are kind of booked up for the next couple of years so we'll see. I'm hoping. I really want to be able to do things with the kids--like traveling, trying new experiences (three have gone parasailing and want to go again or do zip lines) etc. But those things cost money. Plus I'm driving a 2001 Ford Expedition with 220,000 miles on it. I'm hoping it lasts until the point I can get something smaller.
