Last Day of Conference

It's been a crazy 3 1/2 days. Jessica and I have been in classes all day, general sessions during the day and in the evening and have been meeting with editors. We've also spent time with friends we only see once ( or twice if they go to ICRS) a year. We've been working on projects, and the more we work, the more we realize we have to do. So we have lots of work to do once we get home.

Writing a synopsis

Conference ends after lunch today. We're stopping at a mall on the way home and will arrive home tonight.

They are. We didn't even get to the pond with alligators!

Thank you Hevel. The more I learn about writing, the more I realize I don't know! I have three book projects I need to get moving on but I'm stuck!!

Just think of eating cabbage and potatoes in Dublin as a motivation!

I will Hevel. Jessica and I wrote a kids' adventure book set in Haiti but our critiquer wants a lot more tension between the main characters and more complications so we need to work on that one and I have to get around and finish the women's fiction--single white foster mom who ends up with a 12 year old African American foster son. I've left the book where he's run away to try and find his birth mom who he didn't think would take off without him. I need to write the ending. Satisfying, but not with eveything neatly wrapped up because we all know that rarely happens.
