Jasmine's Adoption Anniversary

Yesterday was the 8th anniversary of Jasmine's adoption.

She was my child in my heart the day I first met her in the hospital nursery. This is the day I took her home at about 3 weeks old, the first week of March 2001.

Her adoption was finalized July 14, 2004. Tyler is holding Jessica's TMI prayer card because after three and a half years of waiting to adopt her, Jessica was on a mission trip to New Mexico when we finally got a court date. But at least she was in our home the whole time, not waiting somewhere else.

Here she is 8 years later, roasting marshmallows.

This is her own personal cake.

Her favorite snacks.

And a red velvet cake roll to share.

Jasmine is my joy and song and my life wouldn't be complete without her!

Happy Adoption Anniversary! She seems like such a sweet girl!

I've been wondering. Where do you buy those adorable little cakes??

I get the cakes at a military grocery store but occasionally Walmart will have them.
