April Food

We decided that April would be dessert month. Every one's main food was a dessert. Each child (of the ones who did it, one was stubborn) made something simple to go with the dessert such as soup or salad. All desserts were made from scratch.
I forgot to take pictures of Ty's food : ( He made chess pie, salad and clam chowder.

Chocolate Chess Pie

1 1/2 c sugar 1 tsp vanilla
½ stick melted butter 5 oz can evaporated milk

Mix sugar and cocoa. Add beaten eggs, milk, butter and vanilla. Beat well. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 325F for 50-60 minutes.

This is the boy's favorite:Cherry Marshmellow Jubilee
1 can cherry pie filling sm can crushed pineapple
1 can sweetened cond milk 2 c miniature mashmellows
8 or 9 oz Cool Whip

Mix pie filling, milk and Cool Whip by hand. Add pineapple
and marshmellows. Mix by hand. Refrigerate.

It's easy and we make it when we have to take food somewhere, like Ty's banquet last night.
