Bonneyville Mill

On Wednesday, it was kind of a down day for everyone except Jasmine and myself. We wanted to get out, so we went to Bonneyville Mill to take photos. Then we went to visit a lifelong friend. We've been friends since we were 5!!

My friend Juanita with one of her dogs.

We left for home Thursday and stopped at Soar Tour Adventures in TN. Is stayed on the ground.

We arrived home Friday, having been gone nine days!

Home Sweet Home

We arrived at my mom's house late Saturday night.

On Sunday we took my mom on errands, and then my childhood friend came over.

The next day Tyler, Jasmine and I went to Lake Michigan. We were hoping for dunes, but the beach we chose didn't have dunes. My sister, brother in law and mom were supposed to meet us there, but since the forecast wasn't for sun, they chose not to.

Then we went to my in-laws for dinner. It was really nice.

I wish it weren't so long between visits.

I am going to send Rick up to see them soon.

Thanksgiving Trip

I haven't been on here in quite a while. Life has been sooooo crazy and busy. But I'll start back with our Thanksgiving trip.

Four of us went to Indiana to be with my mom and sister. Kaleb, due to behaviors which became actually a threat, stayed home and was babysat by Jessica while Rick worked. She works evenings, so that worked out, and the extra cash helped her out. And she got to witness the behaviors first hand so knows we are not exaggerating. But that's a whole different subject.

It was a quick trip to Indiana, leaving early the Sunday before Thanksgiving and shopping our way to Indiana.

One of the goals was to help a long time friend make a wreath for her daughter's graduation next May.

We got the basic wreath made, so all she has to do now is add things special to her daughter from her high school years.

We played a lot of yahtzee

And had too much to eat.

My mom was able to get up and around. She seemed in better spirits than usual.

Us with my mom, sister and brother-in-law

Tyler must have been either the first or last to eat, because he's not in the picture

The girls decided to make a gingerbread house, but it didn't go well

It doesn't exactly look like the picture on the box. LOL.

We headed back home early Friday morning. Friday night we stopped at a mall in Nashville. However, it was adjoining the Grand Ole Opry, which had something going on, plus it was Black Friday, so it was beyond crazy. But Ty wanted to get a Build-a-Bear.

Besides that, the trip home was pretty uneventful.

All in all, it was a good week.

Right after I got home, I was down for three days with stomach grunge. But I am good to go now.

After North Carolina

After North Carolina, we all went different ways.

Felicia's group left first.
Our husbands

Us

Felicia and crew and friends ready to roll.

Ty, Adam and Tara left next. They left around 8:00 p.m. Sunday night and drove through the night. They made great time since there wasn't that much traffic at that time.
Saying Goodbye

Rick and the twins left for camp on Monday morning and drove from NC to Merritt Island, FL. I would love to say that I think these weeks at Mission Camp will make a difference, but as I look at the photos Rick took I see that she is NOT wearing her work boots, she is wearing my Rue 21 boots that look like work boots but aren't. We talked about her maybe getting those for later but that they weren't work boots. Yet there she is with them. Also with another siblings' clothes etc. The twins also ate Rick's work food and snacks from the van in addition to their own. He even stopped and grilled sausages for them on the trip down! Kayla also lied about having her court homework done, so I do not know what will happen at this point. Prayers for changed hearts appreciated.

In the meantime, Jasmine and I drove to Indiana. We went to Clifty Falls State  Park for just a couple of hours. The falls weren't very important this time of year.

Then the next day we drove on to Elkhart, near South Bend on the IN/MI border to visit my mom and sister.
With my mom and sister. We come in XS, L and XL sizes!

Jasmine's first elephant ear. At the Jazz festival.

With two high school friends.
From there Jasmine and I went on to book convention. In the meantime, the used transmission I'd just gotten before NC began to leak. More to come.
