Friday night I chaperoned Jasmine's middle school dance. It counts as my volunteer hours for Jasmine's school. Kayla will be starting at that school after Thanksgiving break also. Third grade is the worst to get in because no one drops out of the school at that age, and some kids are retained due to the FCAT.
Last year the dance was dress up, but this year they had a western theme. So kids were casual.
Ready to leave for the dance. |
Jasmine at her school gym. |
This morning Jessica and I helped with the color run. There was a chance to do it for pay if you could work both Friday and Saturday, but she hadn't taken the time off.
I ended up working with Lisa, who will be Jessica's mother-in-law. |
Before the race. |
I worked in registration. Jessica was out on the route throwing the color at people. |
Before the race. The runner are colorful from the little color packs. They haven't been out on the course yet. |
Jessica after the race. Guess what color she threw? She had to go to work so she wore long sleeves and a hat and hood. |
I ended up with a little color. |
We went to Golden Corral. So did a bunch of other people. We looked pretty normal. Some of them looked like they were from other planets. |
Has anyone run the color run?

we have not done a color run- but have friends who have- looks fun!
It is fun. We had 3,000 but some places have many more people than that. High energy.
I would say high energy- and who doesn't love some color :)
Also- I was going to let you know my girls and I have been using your women of the Bible devotional book as our current Bible study (I do a Bible study with my girls each week and my husband does one with the boys) anyway, for the last few months we've been using your devotional for our bible study. It works great. We are going to take a break from it here in a week or two and do a different one that we got as a gift- but then we will pick up with yours again when we finish the other. I wrote a review on Amazon tonight- so hopefully it will show up soon. We have been enjoying it!
I'm glad you're using the book. We are doing it in morning devos and Kaleb doesn't really notice that it's a girl's book : )
Thanks for writing a review. I'll look for it.
