Horsing Around

Jessica and I had been talking about taking lessons together. However, it's expensive so it wasn't happening. Then we talked to a lady who is willing to let us come when we can rather than coming each week. We scheduled it for every other Friday morning but only went one Friday in November, one Friday in December, one Friday in January and one so far in February.


Lesson 2


This is Runner, a grey Arabian. I've ridden him three times and a chestnut named Teddy once.





This is Jessica with Colonel. She's ridden three different horses.

Lessson 4

This is Teddy.

It was barely 40F this day.

Runner was a stinker this day. The owner had been gone so he hadn't had his normal exercise and he hadn't had his morning hay yet. Then a deer ran in front of him and made him a bit unhappy.

We don't really have any pictures of us riding because I don't think the instructor would be too thrilled if we pulled out a camera while on horseback since we are beginners.

This and That

Jessica is selling hats to help pay for her summer mission trip. She put them on a build-a-bear to show the size. The pink is infant, like newborn and the blue is toddler. We added a donation button to the side for buying the hats. Go back a couple of posts for more information.

Everyone found Valentine treats at their spot Monday morning, but I don't have pictures of Jeff and Adam. Adam left for school before I took pictures, taking his candy with him (he goes for anything with peanut butter) and Jeff wasn't up yet when I took pictures. We are all up by 5:30. He is up by noon. Enjoy it while it lasts!

Valentine's Day is also Jessica's half birthday so she is 19 1/2 now!

Jessica and Anthony went to Voyage of Dawn Treader. The rest of us were at home having a regular evening. Rick and I had Applebees carry out late.

Jasmine had her third neck expansion today. This is only HALF of the size they want it. How much do they think that skin is going to stretch?????

She is smiling now but it took will power. She has been crying since she got home. I just this over with for her!!!!

The ports where they put the needles in look so sore today. My poor boo bear!

Three birthdays

Anthony's birthday is February 15. I asked Jessica if she wanted to have him over for pizza on Saturday (12th) for his birthday. She did of course. And she asked a couple mutual friends. One of them has a birthday on the 13th so we decided to make it her celebration too. And plans were made.

We were trying to decide what to do about Jasmine's birthday the 18th because she will be leaving at 5 a.m. that day for an appt. in Gainesville and then going on to Orlando for the weekend. (We will all be joining her in Orlando). We needed to celebrate early, but there wasn't a day everyone was going to be home. So she decided to celebrate on Saturday with the others.

They were already all here by time this was decided. Thankfully all my presents for her were ready. One is still enroute from my brother and Jeff and Jessica were going to shop later in the week so they both told her they'll buy her something at Universal in Orlando when we go.

While some of the group played Apples to Apples, others went to get the pizza. Then another trip was made to get Jasmine a balloon and little cake of her own.

The plain white dog was for Anthony and Ana and the other for Jasmine. There was also cupcakes, pizza, sloppy joes (Anthony's request) and chips.

Jasmine opened her presents. Aunt Lou got her Hotel for Dogs and an Indiana Jones DS game.

Tyler got her a DS game also.


Grandma got her two pairs of shorts and three shirts.

Uncle Ken got her Cats and Dogs 2 and Toy Story 3 Mania for Wii which is on its way.

We got her a slither and also nice outfit that isn't shown.




Everyone went outside then to shoot BB and pellet guns. Tyler, Jessica, Anthony, Ana and Scott are all police Explorers.
