New York City Day 4

We started the day by taking the Staten Island Ferry to Staten Island. It's free, and it goes right by the Statue of Liberty.

It was pretty windy.

Once we were there, we realized it would take up a lot of our day to get transportation to the mall and back, so we hung around near the dock for a while.

Matching Doritoes
We shared a Gelato

We had tickets for Madam Tussaud's, so we headed back to our hotel, then to the wax museum.

We had fun posing with the wax figures. Can anyone identify all of them? I sure couldn't! But of course we only took photos of the ones that meant something to us.

I think this one looks most realistic of all my pictures.

That is the end of the Madam Tussaud's photos. The musicians below were in the subway station. I find the subway a very interesting place.

We were walking through NYC looking for a store when Ty saw the firehouse that was in Ghost Busters.

We went to the 9/11 Memorial pools but didn't take any photos! So this is it for the day.

New York City Day 3

We started the day by walking the Brooklyn Bridge begining at the Brooklyn side.

Then we walked into China town, but didn't buy anything. We went back to the hotel to regroup before Jasmine and I went to Aladdin on Broadway.

Tyler went exploring and discovered some new stores while we were in the theater.

Afterwards went around to the stage door to catch the actors coming out, but it started raining!  Above is the sultan, Prince Jasmine's dad.

This is the actress who portrayed Princess Jasmine.

Jasmine and Jasmine!

One of Aladdin's friends.
 .
Jasmine desperately want to meet the Genie. He really played to the audience well. There was no sign of him, and everyone started leaving. We were waiting for Ty to come find us. Then the Genie walked down the street.

He was really friendly. To me, he made the show.
We went to Build a Bear, then started home.
We went to K Mart because I had close to $150 Shop Your Way points, and we don't have a Sears or K Mart.

Stopped for Chinese take out on the way home, but we didn't get any fortune cookies. :(
The are hokey, but once in a while one of them will say something that makes sense.

Big day tomorrow, so I'm determined to be in bed by midnight!

New York City Day 2

These first pictures of street art are from Day One but got missed.

Day 2 We headed to Central Park and rented bikes.

The castle was under renovation last year. This year it's still under renovation, but at least you can see it. Sometime I would actually like to go into it.

We only had an hour, and we barely got started when it was time to go back. But Ty and Jasmine were going to King Kong on Broadway.

While they were there, I wandered around and came across a street market.

Last year I bought his CD in the subway

If I could carry a tune, I might be able to pay both mortgages!

I have severe tendinitis in my right foot and am not really supposed to be walking on it, but that's not an option.

As usual, the other two are asleep, and I'm still up!

Can't wait to see what tomorrow holds.

New York City Day One

We left the house at 6:15 this morning and made out 8:00 a.m. flight with no problems. We had a layover in Atlanta, and that flight was delayed by an hour.

We finally arrived in Newark and took the airtrain to Penn Station NYC to Barclay to 36th Street in Brooklyn and walked to our hotel from there.

Then we went to Times Square to the Nintendo Store, M&M Store and Disney Store.

We got back to our hotel around 12:30, and Tyler and Jasmine are asleep as I write this. It's 1:40 a.m. now.

I only have a few pictures from today.

Sharing a double cone.
